Rubicon Holding has joined an international programme, supported by Sweden, to provide vocational training for Ukrainian veterans.

SAFER Reconstruction is an international initiative implemented with the support of the Swedish Institute, aimed at training Ukrainian veterans to work as specialists in health, safety and the environment within the construction sector.

Over the course of eight weeks, two programme participants undertook work placements at the ‘Kovalivskyi’ residential complex in Kropyvnytskyi and the ‘Novi Teremky’ residential complex in Novosilky.

The veterans learnt how to carry out risk assessments, work with HSE documentation and implement high standards of construction safety. The participants’ final case studies confirmed their high level of professional competence.
